The Role

We’re looking for a Purchaser who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-moving hardware environment.

This role supports sourcing and execution across electronics and mechanical components, ensuring timely supply for production and NPI builds. You will work closely with Engineering, Planning, and Operations to manage cost, lead time, and delivery performance.

Electronics experience is highly valued, particularly in sourcing PCB/PCBA, semiconductors, ICs, and related components — though broader hardware procurement experience will also be considered.

If you enjoy solving supply challenges, working with suppliers directly, and ensuring things move forward reliably — this role will suit you.

What You’ll Do

Execute Sourcing & Purchasing Activities

  • Manage sourcing and PO execution for assigned component categories (electronics and/or mechanical).
  • Compare cost, MOQ, and lead-time trade-offs before issuing POs.
  • Work with suppliers to confirm specifications, pricing, and delivery commitments.

Support Production & NPI Builds

  • Validate BOM part numbers and revisions prior to PO release.
  • Coordinate with Engineering when component changes occur.
  • Ensure material availability aligns with build schedules.

Monitor Supply & Delivery Risk

  • Track on-time delivery and follow up on delayed shipments.
  • Monitor lead-time changes and flag potential risks early.
  • Support mitigation actions during seasonal shortages or constrained supply conditions.

Maintain ERP & Data Discipline

  • Ensure accuracy of lead times, MOQs, pricing, and supplier data in ERP.
  • Prevent common errors related to part numbers and revision control.
  • Support inventory accuracy and reduce excess or obsolete stock.

Engage Suppliers Professionally

  • Build working relationships with suppliers.
  • Support basic negotiation of pricing and delivery terms.
  • Escalate issues appropriately when performance deviates.

What We’re Looking For

·        3–6 years of procurement experience in electronics, hardware, or manufacturing environments.

·        Experience sourcing electronic components (PCB, PCBA, semiconductors, connectors, etc.) is strongly preferred, though broader hardware sourcing experience is acceptable.

·        Familiarity with BOM structures, revision control, and NPI processes.

·        Exposure to industry dynamics such as component lead-time changes or seasonal shortages is advantageous.

·        Comfortable working in ERP systems (NetSuite or similar preferred).

·        Structured and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.

·        Able to communicate clearly across Engineering, Planning, and Operations.

·        Resourceful and proactive in resolving supplier or delivery issues.
