Role Overview

We are looking for a Finance Executive (Accounts Payable) to join the team in our Kuala Lumpur office.

This role is execution-focused and AP-heavy. You will own end-to-end Accounts Payable operations, ensuring strong processing discipline, clean data, and reliable month-end close support.

Beyond processing, we are looking for someone who takes ownership of workflows, strengthens controls, and contributes to building a scalable SSC structure over time.

What You Will Own

End-to-End Accounts Payable Execution

  • Review and process vendor invoices with 3-way matching (PO, invoice, receipt).
  • Ensure compliance with internal approval matrices and control requirements.
  • Verify appropriate tax treatment across jurisdictions.
  • Prepare and execute scheduled payment runs (local and cross-border).
  • Maintain vendor master data integrity.
  • Respond to vendor queries in a timely and professional manner.

This role requires comfort operating in a transactional, deadline-driven environment.

Month-End & Control Discipline

  • Perform AP reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare accruals for unprocessed liabilities.
  • Support audit documentation and control reviews.
  • Monitor aged payables and proactively clear outstanding issues.

Accuracy and reliability are critical.

Process Ownership & SSC Build

As part of the early SSC setup, you will:

  • Help document AP workflows and approval processes.
  • Identify recurring bottlenecks or data inconsistencies.
  • Strengthen ERP data hygiene (NetSuite or similar).
  • Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and control robustness.

As the SSC function expands, strong performers may take on greater coordination responsibility and support onboarding or mentoring of new team members.



Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting; professional qualification preferred
  • 3–5 years’ experience in finance operations or shared services (AR/AP)
  • Exposure to multi-country operations preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP is a strong plus
  • Self-driven, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
