Job Summary

Responsible for the overall management and performance of the golf club's food and beverage operations, including the clubhouse restaurant, bar, banquet facilities, huts, and functions. The role focuses on delivering exceptional member and guest experiences while ensuring operational efficiency, cost control, profitability, and compliance with food safety standards.

Operations Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets within the golf club.
  • Ensure exceptional service standards for members, guests, tournaments, and special events.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and hospitality.
  • Coordinate closely with the kitchen and other department heads to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handling of alcoholic beverages operations

Member & Guest Relations

  • Build strong relationships with club members and guests.
  • Address feedback, complaints, and service recovery promptly and professionally.
  • Develop initiatives to enhance member satisfaction and encourage repeat patronage.

Event & Tournament Management

  • Plan and coordinate food and beverage services for golf tournaments, corporate events, weddings, banquets, and club functions.
  • Liaise with event organizers to ensure all catering requirements are met.
  • Ensure successful execution of events within budget and service expectations.

Financial Management

  • Prepare and manage annual operating budgets.
  • Monitor revenue, food costs, beverage costs, labour costs, and departmental expenses.
  • Develop strategies to increase sales and improve profitability.
  • Analyze financial reports and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Staff Leadership

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and develop F&B employees.
  • Prepare work schedules and manage staffing requirements.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
  • Foster teamwork, professionalism, and excellent customer service.

Inventory & Procurement

  • Manage purchasing, inventory, and stock control.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain quality products at competitive prices.
  • Minimize wastage and ensure proper storage of food and beverages.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain licensing requirements for food and beverage operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and operational standards.

Marketing & Business Development

  • Develop seasonal menus and beverage promotions in collaboration with the Chef.
  • Support membership events and promotional activities to increase clubhouse usage. Identify opportunities to improve member engagement and food and beverage revenue.

Reporting

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, costs, member satisfaction, and staff productivity.
  • Present recommendations for continuous operational improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in food and beverage operations role.
  • Candidates with experience in a supervisory role are welcome to apply.
  • Experience in a golf club or country club restaurant is added advantage.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good in financial and budgeting knowledge.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
