Job Description

Responsibilities:

 Technical Leadership

  • Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of systems powering the Property marketplace — listings, search, filters, maps, A/B testing, SEO, etc.
     

  • Ensure systems are reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable.
     

  • Drive adoption of engineering best practices, code reviews, automation, CI/CD, observability, etc.
     

Team & People Management

  • Manage a team of backend and frontend engineers (5–10 people).
     

  • Provide mentorship, career growth plans, and regular feedback.
     

  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing engineering culture.
     

 Product Delivery

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to define scope and milestones.
     

  • Ensure timely delivery of features and projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
     

  • Translate business goals into technical deliverables and track execution.
     

 Marketplace Optimization

  • Drive improvements in platform performance, SEO, search relevancy, and user engagement.
     

  • Optimize for conversion metrics (e.g., inquiry rate, listing views) and seller satisfaction.
     



 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years and above in software development with 3+ years in engineering leadership roles.
     

  • Strong experience with web-scale backend systems on Java / Golang.
     

  • Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React/Vue) and mobile platforms is a plus.
     

  • Solid understanding of databases, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), API design, and system architecture.
     

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and test automation.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate engineering teams.
