In your role as Sr. Test Engineer at Kohler Ventures you will:

  • Work directly with the Head of Hardware, the hardware engineering team, and the product teams
  • Support manufacturing test development for new and existing hardware designs.
  • Write test plans and manage test coverage based on product requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members on establishing verification & validation plans & executes the plans
  • Qualify test equipment and fixtures, and validate test scripts and test methods according to quality system requirements
  • Design validation plans for mechanical & electronics systems including power and networking
  • Develop test requirements and methodology with a cross-functional engineering team, implement manufacturing tests at factory sites, troubleshoot and solve issues during product development!
  • Develop data acquisition solutions to capture key test and validation data
  • Design and modify fixtures and instrumentation for power electronics and hardware testing
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems associated with test methods failing to meet validation acceptance criteria or product testing that produces unexpected results
  • Be a technical lead in setting up and executing system tests
  • Determine, document, and perform necessary changes for compliance and quality assurance, following federal and state regulations

Skills/Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or a technical field
  • 5+ years of professional digital health care, wellness device verification & validation
  • Deep knowledge & experience in digital health care, wellness device regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience collaborating with internal multi-discipline
  • Working in test labs, such as UL, Intertek, TUV, etc. strongly preferred
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or a technical field
  • Experience performing or overseeing testing such as dimensional characterization, physical (mechanical/electrical) performance testing, simulated use testing, etc.
  • Previous experience in a role requiring test plan development, equipment selection, and specification: Design, Reliability, and Manufacturability (DRM) methodology or equivalent
  • Familiarity with statistical tools, and able to perform statistical analysis of data regarding test method or product performance with respect to product and/or quality system requirements.
  • Track record of developing engineering solutions for complex problems
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Written and basic English proficiency preferred
