Job Description

OVERVIEW 

The Account Manager will be responsible for the delivery of individual advertising sales revenue target for CNBC and CNBC.com. In this role, you will demonstrate teamwork not only contributing to the team revenue by hitting your own targets, but also collecting and sharing market intelligence, creative ideas and knowledge with team peers. 

Depending on client briefs and requirements, you will activate different services CNBC can offer such as research, events, content production to the client as well. You will also travel in order to manage other South East Asian markets apart from Singapore. Key clients and media agencies connections will be highly valuable in this role. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Build awareness, favorability and preference for CNBC partner solutions among clients and affiliates in the region. 

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts targeting advertisers in regions. 

  • Seek out leads and network with advertisers, their agencies and other potential clients to generate advertising revenues for CNBC. 

  • Use data and insight to develop solutions in collaboration with the Research team and Creative Solutions team to attract advertisers to partner with CNBC. 

  • Build media plans for own target clients for campaigns on CNBC platforms, TV, Digital and affiliates.  

  • Develop media plans that will maximize revenue generation and optimize campaign performance for advertisers. 

  • Prepare in partnership with Account Services team campaign delivery reports with the traffic and research teams. 

  • Liaise with CNBC and affiliate traffic & digital teams to book and implement campaigns.  

  • Coordinate delivery of commercial assets to traffic and digital teams to ensure effective delivery of advertising campaigns. 

  • Ensure the smooth running of campaigns while live and report on campaign performance to clients regularly. 

  • Collaborate with research, and creative solutions to produce campaign delivery reports pre, mid and post campaign to be delivered to CNBC clients. 

  • Collate screenshots, highlights and compelling campaign case study materials for advertisers. 

  • Track the performance of our newsletters and communicate findings to newsroom leaders on a regular basis. 

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Proven Business Development skills. 

  • Experience of media sales and media planning on TV and Digital platforms.  

  • Knowledge of the international media industry.  

  • Strong communication skills.  

  • A team and collaborative mindset.  

  • Confidence in negotiation and influencing skills. 

  • Computer skills, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.  

  • Presentation skills and the ability to create compelling pitches.   

  • Enthusiasm for and interest in news and current affairs.  

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changeable industry. 

  • Willingness and ability to travel as required and to work flexible hours when necessary. 

 

 

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES   

While not essential for this role, candidates with experience or proficiency in the following attributes tend to excel in this position.  

 

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in a related role or capacity. 

  • Strong media agency contacts, client contacts across financial, technology, energy sectors will be beneficial.
